Snowdonia Walking Weekend...
The high peaks, tranquil valleys, fast flowing rivers, waterfalls and forests attract so many walkers and climbers to Snowdonia National Park. But away from the classic peaks such as Snowdon, Moel Hebog and Cnicht there are plenty of lower level valley and river walks that provide us with stunning scenery but at a gentler pace. Our base for the weekend is Beddgelert, set in some of the most majestic scenery Wales has to offer and a legend in a field that is Gelerts grave, which the village lends its name. According to legend it is the final resting place of Prince Llwellyn's faithful hound Gelert... simply a must visit and a real tear jerker.
Walking: The walks are around 9 miles on Saturday and 7 miles on Sunday taking in sweeping glacial valleys with amazing views, serene lakes, forest trails, hidden wooded valleys and fast flowing rivers.
Accommodation: Our accommodation is the Royal Goat Hotel, privately owned and friendly in a picturesque village setting that is Beddgelert.
